Reflection Blog

December 9, 2009

When looking back on my time so far in college compared to my four years of highschool, There are many noticable differences.  In highschool, I was the king of procrastination, I rarely spent more thana matter of minutes on homework, and I never asked other students or teachers for help. I can say, without hesitation, this is no longer the case.

Now I look at school in a different light.  I no longer wait til the last-minute to complete assignments. I do papers and projects days in advance instead of the night before.  I turn to my teachers and peers for advice.  Much of this is due to our English 101 class, and even transitions as well.  In english 101, it did not take much time before i realized my study habits I had in highschool would not be acceptable in college.  When a paper was assigned, I started working early.  Through the layout of the class and class requirements, I became accustom to meeting with my professor and conducting peer reviews in class in order to get outside opinions on my work.

I feel that the changes I have made thus far in college are, in large part, due to this English 101 fall semester class.
